BOOK TOUR

Today, Steve from KAT 103.7fm came to our class to read a story.  Today he read the story "The Very Quiet Cricket" and the students loved it.  Steve told us a little about his life growing up and how much he enjoyed reading and using his imagination.  After reading, Steve recorded the students saying the Pledge of Allegiance.  THIS Friday, May 5th, their recording will be on air at approximately 7:30am.  The students are very excited because now they are FAMOUS!  Steve also brought along a book for each student to take home to keep donated by Boys Town Pediatrics and KAT 103.7.  We are very thankful that we were able to be one of their stops on their book tour!

Zoo Reports

We just finished our zoo reports!! The students wrote a report on the animal they had researched at home.  The students also created a habitat in which their animals lives.  When their habitats were completed, they wrote a report about their animal.  Their report included the animal name, where it lives/its habitat, and what it eats.  When everyone was finished, the students showed their animal and read their report to class.  Below are some pictures of the reports that the students wrote.

In Spanish today, the students learned the name of their facial parts. With learning the names, they labeled the parts on a couple of the students.  They had so much  fun and was a great way to remember the names.

Friendship Wall

The students have worked very hard at cutting out hands to make a "friendship rainbow."  Some hands were made during center time and also during choice time!  We have leprechauns up right now but after St. Patrick's day, we will change to butterflies and flowers.
